And now it's 5 years later, I did actually loose wight for my wedding in August 2010, to which I am really proud of myself. I really made some lifestyle changes. I changed my diet, worked out every day and I was really dedicated.
Just home from Mission. Wedding day. |
And these past few months with a busy life, school, work and whatever else, I've allowed myself to slack. I scale doesn't say I've put on a ton of weight back on, but I can see it in my face.
So the mission pictures is a great motivation and reminder that I need to take the time to eat right and exercise. I recently bought a stationary bike and I can't let it go unused. I'm grateful for this wonderful reminder. Thanks to the internet for keeping me accountable.

Best thing for me is realizing that losing weight is a REAL possibility. I was about 150lbs at my heaviest and when I lost 20lbs I realized it was possible. It took me working out with a trainer twice a week because I had to be taught self-discipline in order for me to do it on my own eventually. While I slack more now I usually get in at least one to two workouts a week. Sometimes three since Fridays are my cardio nights from swing dancing.
Mainly, it's all in your perspective and motivation!

For me to make the time to work out I have to wake up and go before Madilyn is up. That means I'm in bed by 9:30 or 10 so I can be up between 5:30 and 6. Some mornings it's hard, but working out in the morning motivates me all day and I have a ton more energy.
Oh, and I think you're basically amazing. I still need to work on the food thing big time =)
